How it works
From first call to walkthrough
Six steps. The test is the second one, and the quote is the fourth.
- 01Day 1
Step 1: Call or text
Tell us the street and what the basement is like now. A photo helps.
- 02Days 1 to 10
Step 2: Moisture test
One visit of about two hours, and a logger for a week.
- 03Day 10
Step 3: The report
We read it with you by phone or at your table.
- 04Day 14
Step 4: The quote
A written quote with every line, the allowances and what is left out.
- 05Weeks 1 to 9
Step 5: The work
A crew on site every working day, with Clay Ames as your contact.
- 06End
Step 6: Walkthrough
We go room by room with you, write a punch list and fix it.
On site
Someone is there every working day
Clay Ames, our project lead, is on every job from the first stud to the walkthrough.
The crew is six of us, and the same people work on your basement and on the next one. We don't send it to a different company halfway through.
What to expect
A dust barrier at the stairs and covered floors on the way in
A written schedule you can hold us to
A change in price only with your signature, never added to the bill
A final cleaning, and the debris hauled away

Questions
Questions about the process
How long does a finish take?
About nine weeks for 900 square feet, from permit to walkthrough. A larger basement takes longer, and a bath or an egress window adds a few weeks.
When do I pay?
The quote lists the payments: a deposit when you sign, then payments tied to the stages of the work, and the last when you accept the walkthrough. Pennsylvania law caps a deposit on a home improvement contract at one-third of the price, plus the cost of any special-order materials.
What if you find a problem?
We stop, show you and write the fix and its price before we continue. Nothing is added without your signature.
Will you do part of it?
Yes. Some people do the paint or the flooring. We tell you what that does to the schedule and the warranty.
Start with the test
Tell us the street and we will call to set a time.
